3E8 antigen
This protein is recognized by the 3E8 monoclonal antibody predominantly on murine hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues (bone marrow, spleen, lymph node, and thymus (Baecher et al, 1988). The protein is the mouse homolog of rat W3/13 and human leukosialin (sialophorin) (Baecher et al, 1988, 1990).
In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD43.
